Mayor Cal Patterson

I am please on behalf of Council and the residents of Wasaga Beach, to extend to you a warm welcome to our community. Wasaga Beach is the longest fresh water beach in the world with 14 km of white sand beach.

We are located on Southern Georgian Bay, in the heartland of one of Ontario’s most beautiful recreation areas. We are just a 90 minutes drive from Toronto and other Major centers in Southern Ontario.  Our community has a long history as one of Ontario’s favorite tourist and vacation destinations. People from all over the world come to sample and enjoy our many acres of parkland, campgrounds and our many miles of of hiking, cross country skiing and snowmobile trails.

We are well known for our hospitality and we extend that same liberality to you. Wasaga Beach attracts over two million visitors annually.

We are a four season resort community that plays host to many international, national and local sporting events. We are famous for our breathtaking sunsets.

No matter what the season there is always something happening in Wasaga Beach.

Our quality of life and our safe and friendly community has also attracted a steady stream of new residents and seasonal dwellers to our town over the years.

We are proud of our community and are thrilled to share it with our many visitors during the year. Our Chamber of Commerce can assist you with any or your plans while in Wasaga Beach. From campgrounds, hotels or motels, as well as our fine restaurants, shops, nightlife and entertainment.
