January 17, 24 & 31 - Scenic Caves - Guided Night Snowshoe Hikes

Sat Jan. 17, 24, 31, Feb 7, 14, 21, 28, Mar 7, 14, 21, 2015 (6pm – 8pm)

Strap on your snowshoes for a night-time hike, where stars and shadows create a dramatic setting for adventure. Professional staff members guide your group on a 1 ½ to 2 hour romp through an enchanting winter wonderland. Experience beautiful trails that wind through a mature forest of 100 foot tall trees,  sparkling views of the countryside at the Suspension Bridge and breathtaking lookouts from the top of the Niagara Escarpment. No experience is required and the pace is moderate. Recommended for ages 8-10 and older.  Night snowshoe hikes are scheduled for most Saturday nights and run weather-permitting. January 29 - Business After 5

This month's "Business After 5" will be hosted by Danielle Blanchard Branch Manager at RBC Royal Bank which is located at 654 River Road West, in Wasaga Beach.

The event will be held on Thursday January 29th from 5:00-6:30pm.

All members of The Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Wasaga Beach Women's Business Association will receive free "After 5 Bucks" for attending this month's Business After 5.  

These bucks can be used towards this month's After 5 auction and/or future auctions.   

There will be two Auction Prizes for this event :

·         Two $50 coupons for contribution into a tax free savings account at RBC Royal Bank. 

Everyone is welcome... there is no charge to attend and membership is not required. 

Join us for a fabulous evening of networking, auction prizes, delicious food, and great people!

February 7 - Tubbs ROMP TO STOMP Snowshoe Series

Scenic Caves Nordic Centre hosts 2015 Tubbs Romp to Stomp Ontario

Earlybird registration is now OPEN (special rate ends Dec 12/14).

 

For the 8th year, Scenic Caves Nordic Centre is the host venue for the annual Tubbs Romp to Stomp Ontario Breast Cancer Snowshoe event, benefiting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  The Ontario romp is great for all ages and ability levels, featuring a 3k/5k snowshoe walk, 3k snowshoe race and 1k Lil Romper Dash.  The snow date is February 8, 2015.  Register individually or with a team.

February - 13 - 16 - Snowman Mania 2015

Celebrating 10 years!! Mark your calendars! Snowman Mania 2015 has added fantastic NEW signature events and activities....

Friday February 13 Opening Ceremonies PARADE and Festival at Super Store/45th Street area from 7-9pm. Jugglers, stilt walkers, horse drawn carriage, heated activity tent, face painting and more....the two princesses from Frozen will even be there!

Saturday February 14 the President's Choice™ SUPER DOGS will perform two shows (11am and 1pm) at the Rec Plex!! Have your photo taken with one of the Super Dogs after the show when you bring a donation for the Georgian Triangle Humane Society! Also at the Rec Plex: cake decorating, puppet show, creative kid’s activities, Silent Auction and the famous Chilli Cook-off!


Sunday February 15 start the day with the Lions Club pancake breakfast (Rec Plex @ 9am) and free shuttle service to William Arnill Park for family tobogganing, hot chocolate and hot dogs (while supplies last) and the Rotary Club's annual Polar Bear Plunge! You can also join in the fun and adventure with the new Snowman Mania Amazing Race courtesy of Free Spirit Tours. Afterwards.....take the shuttle back to the Rec Plex to enjoy a free family movie and laser tag! Then.....get ready for a great night of entertainment at Stonebridge Town Centre starting at 6:30pm! The street party starts at 6:30 with a wing eating contest, toboggan hill and kid's activities. ....at 7pm we will wow you with a live concert on an outdoor stage...featuring Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez tribute artists!!! End the evening with spectacular FIREWORKS at 9pm! Head over to Wild Wings after the show for family friendly Karaoke!

Monday February 16 the fun isn’t over yet! Free family skate at the Wasaga Stars Arena courtesy of Mark Ruttan/Remax from 10am-12pm. Then, head over to the Rec Plex for great family entertainment with the new Snowman Mania Slam-a-Rama wrestling event from 3-5pm!! Join us at Boston Pizza for a great Snowman Mania wrap up after party!
