The Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce
proudly celebrates:

September 1 - Coffee & Learn

Mass Marketing Fraud and Cybercrime Awareness:

A presentation by the RCMP and the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre covering Mass Marketing Fraud, Identity Theft, Romance and other scams – and how to avoid them. Nearly 80 percent of mass marketing fraud is conducted by organized crime groups and is currently the second most common criminal activity funding terrorist activities.

The original presentation was developed by CAFC  Senior Unit Volunteer: Brock Godfrey, RCMP Corporal Lori MacDonald, and RCMP Constable Jennifer George.  It is now delivered by Brock, and where possible, by one of the OPP or RCMP partners to seniors groups, Service Clubs and Professional Organizations across Southern Ontario.  We also work with a number of other Police Groups or individuals in Ontario and British Columbia.

This presentation will also emphasize the top scams targeting Businesses in Ontario as well as how to avoid them. We will also cover computer security for personal and business use.

The Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce will host another Coffee & Learn on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 9:30 am to 11:00 pm.

Location:  Waterside Retirement Lodge Inc., 239 Zoo Park Road, Wasaga Beach.  Theatre Room, 2nd Flr.

For details please contact us at 705-429-2247.

Danny's the leader of the T-Birds, a group of black leather jacket-wearing greasers while Sandy hangs with the Pink Ladies, led by Rizzo.
